Violet Wands and Electric Toys

Why play with electricity? Well, sex is all about sensations. And S/M is about intense sensations. All sensations are transmitted to the brain by electrical pulses travelling along your own internal wiring system-- your nerves. When you use the electrical toys described below, strong electric signals are sent directly to your brain, simulating a full range of sensations, which can include tingling, buzzing, throbbing, burning, pinpricks, and even cutting. And, when used properly, these toys can produce all of these sensations without doing any harm, or even leaving a mark.

The Violet Ray Wand was originally developed and marketed in the 1930's as a pseudo-medical device. Most of the claims made about its therapeutic qualities were false, but sensually adventurous people soon adopted it for other uses. The Violet Wand uses current from a power source known as a Tesla coil. It works by sending sparks out through a single electrode. The electrical sparks create an incredible array of sensations. When held near someone's body, it sends out a continuous stream of tiny lightning bolts, giving off a distinct purple light. Intensity is adjustable. Uses A/C current through a transformer. Each unit comes packed in a foam-padded plastic carrying case, along with an instruction manual.

Important note: There are wands made by other manufacturers (and still used in the cosmetology industry) that produce a similar output to the ones we sell, but are made with a wax core which will melt down if the wand is used for more than a few minutes at a time. The wands we carry have been re-engineered to correct this limitation, and will stand up to prolonged use. We are very price-conscious, and we wouldn't be selling this more expensive version without good reason.

The Deluxe Kit comes in a large, sleek carrying case that looks like a briefcase and features seven attachments:

A disc-shaped glass attachment . The static electricity coursing through the hollow glass tubes give the appearance of purple neon lights. Wherever the tubes come close to a person or other grounded object, little sparks jump across.

The Handle Probe, or "Body Contact Probe." When this probe is held against a person, it turns the person's whole body into a lightning rod. Wherever the person lightly touches someone else (or is touched by them), sparks will jump, creating interesting sensations for both people.

A five pronged comb/rake.The original Violet Wand attachment.

Dancing Chain Accessory. This attachment works in conjunction with The Handle Probe and functions as a miniature chain whip.

The Wartenberg Pinwheel. This attachment also works in conjunction with The Handle Probe and is one of the most fun and popular Violet Wand accessories. It's also quite entertaining on its own.

The European version comes with a 3-prong UK plug for use in a 220 volt outlet, which can easily be adapted with other prong adapters.
